House Rules Cards

Classic card games that play by your table's rules

Almost every card game has a regional or family variant, and almost no online version supports it. House Rules Cards was built the other way around: the rules are data, so a table can be configured to match how you already play, and the bots and scoring follow your lead.

Playable on the web today. iOS and Android submission pending.

What it does

Features

01

House rules are the focus, not a setting

Toggle known variants per table and stack them together. Hearts can score the Jack of Diamonds at minus ten and play to fifty, seventy-five, one hundred or one hundred fifty. Euchre can run Ace-No-Face redeals and Farmer's Hand. The scoring engine reads the ruleset rather than hard-coding one interpretation.

02

A rule builder with no code in it

If your table plays something the presets do not cover, build it: pick a trigger, add conditions with and, or and not, choose an effect. A live plain-English preview tells you exactly what the rule will do before you save it. Finished rules can be published to a shared community library.

03

Four games, including full rubber Bridge

Hearts, Euchre and Spades, plus rubber Bridge with a complete auction, pass, double and redouble, declarer and dummy, vulnerability and honors. Bridge is usually the first game an implementation skips. This one does not.

04

Opponents worth playing against

The bots run single-observer information set Monte Carlo tree search across four difficulty tiers, and they respect whatever rules the table is using, including custom ones. You never have to wait for a fourth, and the game does not feel like practice.

05

Clubs, tournaments and ratings

Form a club with roles, chat and invites. Run bracket or wins-format tournaments for up to sixty-four players, scheduled and advanced by the leader. Rated games feed a per-game Elo rating and a top-ten leaderboard, and custom rules automatically make a table casual so ratings stay comparable.

06

One account, three platforms

The same account, stats, friends and match history on the web, iOS and Android. The server holds the authoritative game state and snapshots it about once a second, so a lost connection or a server restart drops you back into your hand rather than losing it.
